How to overcome limiting beliefs
Sometimes it’s hard to get where you want in life. Let’s say you want to earn a net income of $10,000 a month. You give yourself a time limit to achieve that goal. Good job. You now work toward that goal of yours. As time goes by, you are reaching the time limit that was set. The time is now passed and you haven’t made a dime. What do you do? Most people get discouraged. And sometimes lose hope. I know because it happens to me too.
What’s the #1 reason why people fail in goal achievement?
Limiting beliefs is the main reason why most people fail at achieving their big goal. You can dream how big you want, but if you don’t believe you can achieve it, you won’t. I love to dream big. I get inspired at times. But at other times I find myself doubting. Voices in my head “Can I really earn a net income of $10,000? My favorite leader once said : ‘If ye ask and doubt not, ye shall have whatever you ask”. The problem is not in the asking. It’s when one have these little doubts in their mind.
When you start doubting, it will be hard to move forward to take the necessary action. Accomplishing your goals seem impossible.What do you need to do to change your limiting beliefs to winning beliefs? Here are 4 steps to overcome your limiting beliefs:
1. Be grateful
If you can’t see the little good things you already have, it will be hard for you to see the big things when they come your way. I love to be grateful to the almighty one. I believe in a higher power than myself and I love to respect Him. I understand that not everyone has this same belief, and I totally understand that. What it comes down to is that we need to be thankful.
2. Read your goals every day
When you read your goals every day, it reminds you of the things you want to achieve. When you don’t review your goals, you will find yourself drifting away. You will find yourself within other people’s agenda or the busyness of life. In 2016 I learned to set goals for every area of my life? Have I achieved all? No! But I’ve accomplished more than 50% of my goals. Some might say “only 55%? Yes only 55%.
Going from ZERO to 55% of goal achievement is HUGE for a guy who failed in every area in life. So yes, reading your goals definitely will help.
3. Read or listen to your affirmations
You need to read or listen to your affirmations at least twice a day. In the morning when you wake up and at night before you go to sleep. Why affirmations? The focus here is to build your faith in such a way that it will cause you to believe that you can achieve your goals.
Faith is built by repeated instructions to your heart (the subconscious mind). Whatever you say, will come to pass in your life. According to experts, it takes 21 days or more to change or create a new habit. Having limiting beliefs is a bad habit. If you want to create a new habit, you might want to try a 21 day test to create new winning beliefs

4. Feed your Mind
Another thing that will help you create winning beliefs, is the taking in the right info. Whatever you read, talk, watch or listen, will shape your beliefs. And whatever you believe will determine the amount of action you will take. The action you take will end up in the result you get. You see why people don’t achieve their big goals?
